This website was first created back in 1998 at a time when very few UK based horse racing websites existed.

The main purpose of the site was to provide 'Vital Statistics' for horse racing. Even though the internet had not really taken off back then, the site grew quickly such that a new site had to be developed. This led to the creation of the Flatstats horse racing website.

Flatstats has evolved into the largest website for horse racing statistics and systems. No other website offers as much detailed statistical and systematic horse racing information as Flatstats.
